From the 14th century to the present, 1,873 known serial killers have roamed among us.
That's how many have been identified by university professor Mike Aamodt, who compiled the mother of all serial killer encyclopedias, a database.
It is said to be the longest such list ever made and it took 15 years to compile. He counted everybody except pirates and hitmen. I wonder how many women are on the list? Care to take a stab at what percentage were white males? You might be very surprised.
