So… what brings you here?

As a Typepad blogger, I have access to a report that details the “referring site,” so I know with specificity what search someone has typed into Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL Search, or the fancy new Google Blogsearch to reach my site. Some of the searches have made me laugh out loud. Here’s a sampling of the strange queries I’ve seen – what do you suppose they were looking for?

cruel + punishment +matron

historical adulterers

crime trend sin Jamaica

gagged priestess

ex-wives

true stories of corpse abuse

"she enjoyed torturing"

And someone out there has desperately sought photos of Court TV correspondent Amanda Grove for months now.

If you are looking for something specific and don't see it here, and there's nothing else on the internet about it, and it falls within the realm of historical true crime (i.e. before 1985, preferably long before 1985), let me know, I might be able to dig something up for you. Leave a note under Comments or send me an email (just be sure to put Clews or something in the reference line, because I'm very likely to delete anything remotely looking like junk mail). But if you're looking for a "gagged priestess" or anything else listed above, I can't help you there, pal.
