The Guardian liked Billy Hill: Godfather of London and gushed at great length about prize-winning The Suspicions of Mr. Wicher.
Newsday hated While They Slept.
Investigation Discovery is featuring true crime authors! Unlike Court TV, the Investigation Discovery channel is covering true crime by consulting true crime authors (as opposed to the fiction writers Court TV preferred). Author R. Barri Flowers recently appeared on an episode of the show "Wicked Attraction" about Gerald and Charlene Gallego, the subject of the bluntly titled book The Sex Slave Murders: The Horrifying True Story of America's First Husband-and-Wife Serial Killers.
Ditto for the Biography Channel Biography Channel’s television program Notorious is a series that examines the people who have become famous for their infamous acts. The nonfiction channel has a "minisite" at www.biography.com/notorious, which features crime files, games, episode guide, photo gallery, and videos. My favorite so far: Women Gone Mad - featuring all our favorite ladies: Lizzie, Lorena, Belle, Ma Barker, Rosemary, and other jawbreakers of the female persuasion.
